Problem Statement

Figure 1 contains a schematic diagram of the Make up and Feedwater system of the cogeneration plant.

Table 1 contains some stream information gathered from the plant.

Table 1: Stream Data (kpph=thousand pounds per hour). The numbers present in this table are not necessarily those found at the Cogeneration plant. For Example, the  pressure of stream 22 is 1 atm and not 50 atm.

From the information given in figure 1 and table 1, determine the amount of water that by-passes the heat exchangers.
